چکیده

In this paper we discuss the effect of chemical reaction and thermal radiation on unsteady free convective heat and mass transfer flow through a porous medium in a vertical wavy channel. The unsteadiness in the flow is due to the oscillatory flux in the flow region. The coupled equations governing the flow, heat and mass transfer have been solved by using a perturbation technique with the slope  of the wavy wall as the perturbation parameter. The expression for the velocity, the temperature, the concentration, the rate of heat and mass transfer are derived and are analyzed for different variations of the governing parameters G, R, M, D, , N, N1, ,  , k, x and t.

A Study on free convective heat and mass transfer flow through a highly porous medium with radiation, chemical reaction and Soret effects

The paper addresses the effects of Soret on unsteady free convection flow of a viscous incompressible fluid through a porous medium with high porosity bounded by a vertical infinite moving plate under the influence of thermal radiation, chemical reaction, and heat source. The fluid is considered to be gray, absorbing, and emitting but non-scattering medium, and Rosseland approximation is consid...

Analytical and numerical investigation of heat and mass transfer effects on magnetohydrodynamic natural convective flow past a vertical porous plate

The aim of this investigation is to study the effect of hall current on an unsteady natural convective flow of a viscous, incompressible, electrically conducting optically thick radiating fluid past a vertical porous plate in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field. The Rosseland diffusion approximation is used to describe the radiative heat flux in the energy equation. Analytical a...

Possessions of viscous dissipation on radiative MHD heat and mass transfer flow of a micropolar fluid over a porous stretching sheet with chemical reaction

This article presents the heat and mass transfer characteristics of unsteady MHD flow of a viscous, incompressible and electrically conducting micropolar fluid in the presence of viscous dissipation and radiation over a porous stretching sheet with chemical reaction. The governing partial differential equations (PDEs) are reduced to ordinary differential equations (ODEs) by applying suitable si...

In this paper an analysis is presented to understand the effect of non–Newtonian rheology, velocity slip at the boundary, thermal radiation, heat absorption/generation and first order chemical reaction on unsteady MHD mixed convective heat and mass transfer of Casson fluid past a wedge in the presence of a transverse magnetic field with variable electrical conductivity. The partial differential...

Effects of Thermal Diffusion and Radiation on Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Chemically Reacting Fluid Flow Past a Vertical Plate in a Slip Flow Regime

An analysis has been conceded to study the effects of Soret and thermal radiation effects on the magnetohydrodynamic convective flow of a viscous, incompressible, electrically conducting fluid with heat and mass transfer over a plate with time-dependent suction velocity in a slip flow regime in the presence of first-order chemical reaction. The slip conditions at the boundaries for the governin...
